The incredibly long, awfully terrible, “sho nuff was” bad week

Sometimes life hands you a lemon and you just have a lemon.

My car cost $400 to repair.
My check was hundreds of dollars short.
My mom’s factory job has been scaled back to two days a week.

The car’s starter died and the battery and battery cables had to be replaced.

My principal actually promised me a stipend for a school obligation (that I received last year) and then decided to rescind the pay without rescinding the work obligation. And he knows that I will not drop the extra work because it involves kids who need my help.
When I received my check on Tuesday, I was short hundreds of dollars because of the lack of the aforementioned stipend. My principal is an evil sonofabitch.

My mom works in a glove factory in central Mississippi and has been there for twenty years. It is the only job she knows and she is leaning on her only son for help. I give what I have to her, freely. But with my check short over $300 expected dollars, I wonder how much extra I will continue to have?

This week sucked.

And I know, I know… someone’s car just broke down but they did not have the money for repairs.
And I know, I know… someone has lost his or her job.

I know, I know… I am blessed and thankful for what I have… make no mistake about it, but someone just got a brand new car and someone has a boss who appreciates them and rewards them with a raise.

But while someone is having a worse week, someone else is having a better one.
Someone just bought a new car (with cash).
Someone just got a raise for the work the do (from a boss who appreciates hard work).

Sometimes life hand you lemons, and you look around and there is no sugar to be found. You take the lemon and decide to make the best of it. You hold it, peel it… only to find that the little f*cker is rotten.

It does sound like you had a bad week... keep your head up. I really admire you for being concerned about your mother and the children you work with.

If it makes you feel better, I am one of those people who have it worse with the car... I have to take mine in for service on Saturday and will be paying over $1400 after all is said and done!!! Just gotta keep it moving, right... thank God we have wheels to roll!

We are all in the struggle together.

We all have our bad weeks but overcoming it is what separates the strong from the weak. I'm sure you will endureth to the end and make this moment a memory.

Sad to say we all have ups and downs. It's what life is.

Fuck it! Go get drunk and deal with it all at the bottom of the bottle. :)

I hope things look up for you in the coming week my friend.

you know what, I have had the sugar lookin for the lemon! How about that one? Take that for what you might...

I say thank you regardless. I thank God for my misfortune. I thank God for my mediocrity. I thank God for my blessings! Eventually things balance out. You will have worse days than others. Just keep going forward!

Side note, Why do I relate alot to Charlie Brown?

ORRRR - you totally save those peels and zest the sucker to make a lemon infused oil that goes great to sear shrimp in or make a really great warm pasta dish...get a grating of really good Parm and you've got a great meal!

for real...times will get better! You can always make smothered chicken, right?

Aww boo-boo, that is the worst. I hate bad weeks. Just relax and try not to stress out. Go to Whole Foods and get some "Nerve Tonic", it's homeopathic pills that help with stress. It's non habit forming and all natural. It's helped me through some rough times. If you won't go, I'll send you some, I swear by it.

Things will improve, I know they will...

Lemonade made with spoiled lemons doesn't sound very appetizing...or safe.

Just remember things could always be worse...
