Why can't she be beat out of her mind?

I want the gays to stop it and I mean it! Just give it up, guys. Submit and admit that Michelle Obama cannot dress.

I am sorry. She can’t.

She lacks natural style, but that’s okay. She’s a Harvard educated attorney and she’s our first lady. It is okay that she cannot dress.

I love Michelle Obama and appreciate her gifts. However, I do realize that we all have our weaknesses. No one, not even our first lady, is perfect. Stop insisting that Michelle be “beat out of her mind” every time she steps in front of a camera.

She can be beat. She can’t dress. No shade, girls.

I say coming from humble beginnings on the South Side of Chicago, becoming an Ivy League educated attorney and first black First Lady beats being Beat any day. She IS beat...in all the ways that count!

I feel she is finding her style. I mean she went from being a frugal wife of a Senator to now being American royalty. She is going to have her hit and miss days. But I felt that she has looked great many times more than she has looked rough. Even Anna Wintour at Vogue said she was impressed by some of her outfits. Give her time......

I think she's just dressing conservatively and buying clothes that don't look expensive. I believe that that is a calculated move so America doesn't think she's spending tons of money on clothes. I do think she could get her hair done a little better. She always looks like she needs a touchup to me.

Well let me say this...relatively speaking and considering the previous 43 first ladies we have had in the white house...SHE CANDRESS LIKE HELL!

LOL... Ken, you are so right! I concur!

BPS... I think she is getting better in time. Hopefully she'll become the sytle maven so many desire her to be.

D-Place, I said the exact same thing... until the actual ball when I saw all those poofs on that dress. Then I realize that this was on purpose on purpose.

Que, well said! However, Jackie O was truly beat our of her mind.

I do not think her dressing is that bad. She is a first lady, which is not the place for the avant garde; and yet she pushes the limit in changing it up a bit. She dresses much more modern than all other first ladies.

I think some people have been far too critical of her, expecting way too much.

not even it could save her life...

i kinda like where she is and hope that she doesn't get so caught up in fashion that it makes us take her less seriously. i dont want to EVER forget that she is a Harvard educated lawyer because I'm being distracted by her extreme focus on fashion.

I agree with a lot of the comments made. Michelle is developing her own style at the same time not focusing on the name brands to save her. Especially in a time when the economy is hurting. Even Tyra said that the name brand doesn't make you its how you match it up. Give the first lady some time and she'll do her thing.

Now you trying to start a fight! Michelle can dress it is her stylist that has issues, or course we know that Michelle should be OVAH! Face, Body and Designers should be featuring her because Michelle has class, good looks and she is tall with wonderful legs. Give her time it will improve besides she has to know what works and what doesn't; Nordstroms will be sending pieces over via:courrier soon not to mention Saks, Barneys and all the wonderful shops at Pentagon Mall.

I think she is dressing the way a "First Lady" should dress. Not too fancy but yet, it's elegant and sohpisticated. I think it fits her personality perfectly. But who knows, some where in one of her closets I bet she got some stuff that would blow ALL of our minds.

She would never want a DAY of the fashion that lil' Mrs. Cindy McCain would slay her with! SLAY! I love you MIchelle girl, but damn...

LOL @ you coming for the kids.

Michelle isnt THAT bad. I like her style actually, then again I'm a J. Crew whore right along with her. I think what she wears is just daring enough to get noticed, but still appropriate for the First Lady of the United States.

Michelle is is no Jaquelin Kennedy, but she's no Laura Bush either.

I'm also a little disappointed in Michelle's fashion. I don't think it exudes the fierceness of her personality and mind. I liked her inaugural ball gown, but I thought that frumpy green suit she wore to the outfit was very unflattering, although it was probably more about staying warm (that's a Chicago woman for you).

I also didn't get the black and red piece she wore on election night. Maybe our thoughts on Michelle's fashion are another symptom of Obama Syndrome where we have such high expectations for them because they are fabulous in so many ways, but they aren't perfect.
