Just the Little Things...

Cindy McCain is on the cover of the newest issue of Newsweek. While she keeps that mug beat and that pink suit is fierce, she simply lacks the luster and innate class of Michelle.

While having some problems at work, I have been listening to a lot of gospel music. I am open to some song suggestions. I didn’t grow up listening to a lot of gospel, so if anyone out there has some good songs to download (..), let me know. On the CD I made, I have Giants (Donald Lawrence), Declaration (Kirk Franklin), and Not the Time, Not the Place (Marvin Sapp), to just name a few.

On Sunday I went to church and was touched by the message in a profound way. Just recently I started going to Tabernacle Baptist Church in the heart of URBAN Atlanta. The pastor (Dennis Meredith) is dynamic. Unfortunately, he is going through his third round of tests for cancer (it seems like lymphoma from what I have been able to ascertain) and his message focused on living in the present and making the most of the present you have. It was exactly what I needed to hear. The choir’s powerful rendition of Dorinda Clark-Cole’s “Take it Back” was right on time!

The first family of Atlanta had a fagnic on Sunday in Piedmont Park. Everyone was in attendance, and of course, the reads just kept on coming. I will post them on Friday for this week’s Weekly Reader.

Rocket Dog, the meerkat, is dead! If you don’t watch Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet (I am betting you don’t), you probably have no idea what I am talking about. She was run over by a car! The press is calling the incident a hit and run. I feel sorry for the Whisker clan. They just lost their mother and former queen, Flowers. How many losses must one family endure?

I like "Order My Steps" by the Mississippi Mass Choir.

Cindy McCain looks so unreal. I bet she was part of the "plastics" when she was in high school. Her face is pumped will collagen for the Gods...But must say, she is always fierce in her pink as if she is D-Woods from the Legally Blond play.

if you have that song by Dorinda, Take it Back, I would love to get a copy of it. I love that song and limewire is not wantine me to have it! lol

You may want to try these songs by Hezekiah Walker: Lord Do It, Faithful Faithful, Grateful. Bishop Larry Trotter has some Good ones, Minister to Me. My favorite artists are Timothy Wright, John P. Kee, and Hezekiah Walker. Can't go wrong with many of their songs! Let me know how you fair!

This D-Woods is a white girl who is the main character in the play. Not D-Woods form Danity Kane...lol

Cindy McCain reminds of a Stepford Wife or something...I don't trust McCain she probably is a robot...Gospel: Isreal " No Limits" Smokie Norful: "Celebrate"

You're right Cindy McCain is lacking tons.

About that gospel - um, there's soooo much to listen to. Email me - I'll send you a copy of my gospel play list from i-tunes.

I really like Smokie Norful... Kurt Carr is good... Donald Lawrence...

I can't really say that I'm a Cindy McCain fan... it's all so staged with her...

Though D-Woods from Danity Kane is not in a broadway show... You should make a trip this way to see a few things... Passing Strange... In the Heights... For Colored Girls opens officially in August... Guess Who's Coming to Dinner in the fall and a revial of August Wilson's Fences... Actually some black shows on the "great white way"

Seddy, I would read you on that D-Woods when you know it outta be Elle, but e-terrell already did on the sly... "look back at you for what?" Why I can't get no nasty Trina texts?

Darius and Life, I am definately going to hit you up. Hou both need to email me a cute playlist. That devil done took away my promotion and is trying to steal my joy (and raise... in the recession, of all times) and I'm gonna take it back!
